Anhared Stowe has been the Principal Second Violin of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra since 1979. A graduate of the Juilliard School, she continued to pursue her passion for chamber music, working with groups such as the Hungarian String Quartet and the Guarneri String Quartet. Active as a performer and recitalist, Ms. Stowe has recorded works of Stephen Gryc on the Opus One label, as well as non-classical music on other labels from the UK. Throughout her career, Ms. Stowe has performed chamber music extensively; she is the founder of the New World Trio and has been its violinist and artistic director for twenty years. She has performed as soloist with orchestras in Connecticut, Florida, and Iowa. Most recently, Ms. Stowe was heard on NPR’s “Morning Edition” accompanying the poet Edgar Silex with works of her own composition.

 

 

Pianist Larry Graham has inspired both audiences and students since 1969, when he won the Concert Artists Guild audition. Since then, he has performed over 35 different concerti with orchestras both in America and abroad. Other successes followed., with Mr. Graham receiving the coveted “Prize of the Public” at the Queen Elisabeth Concours in 1975, and first prize in the McMahon International Music Competition in 1986, among others. A graduate of the Juilliard School, Mr. Graham was a member of the piano faculty at the University of Colorado, and was also the pianist for the widely acclaimed Pablo Casals Trio during much of this period. An avid rock climber as well, Larry Graham was the subject of a PBS documentary examining both disciplines.

 

 

Composer Joseph Fennimore has written songs, chamber music, orchestral works, and two one-act operas. His works have been performed by the Chicago Symphony, the Metropolitan Opera Studio, the New York City Ballet, at the Almeida Festival in London, and the Ravinia, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and Tanglewood festivals, among others. His music has been performed nationwide, in Europe and Japan, and broadcast worldwide on Spectrum, Nonesuch, and Albany Records.
